I thought I would write and let you know what I’ve been up to.

Summer was great.  We bought a camper and took some time traveling around western Montana camping. We had a blast seeing some new areas.  The weather was perfect this summer.

My family is doing fantastic.  Demi is in 2nd grade and loves to read.  Sadie is in kindergarten and loves school.  Hank is 3 1/2 and love trucks and being a cowboy.  Macey will be 2 next month.  She is talking so good now and is about 99 percent pottie trained which means we are almost free of diapers!

In June I hosted another Big Sky Show.  It was a great success.  I can not describe how much fun it is to have so many great makers and collectors come to my shop.  I just wish I could slow the whole weekend down and have more time to visit with everyone.  The conference was amazing.  Listening to Richard Rogers, Bill Ruple, Tim Hancock, Owen Wood, Harvey Dean, and others teach is quite enlightening.

This fall I have been doing a little elk hunting.  Last weekend a friend and I took his son out and he shot his first deer.  It was fun to see.

I have been doing a lot of work to my shop lately.  I have moved my dust collector and had to do some re-piping.  I also added a lean-to on the whole back side of my shop.  At the same time I am insulating and trying to finish my garage.  Right now I have too many projects going and need to just finish one.

My “real” job is going well.  There is so much to learn in the lineman field.  I am just in the beginning and it seems like I will never learn it all.  I enjoy the work though and have been quite amazed at the talent these guys have.

I plan to start working hard toward my next knife show which is the ABS Expo in San Antonio.  I am on the planning committee with Harvey Dean, Tim Hancock, Steve Dunn, and Larry Fuegen.  We are looking forward to a great show.  Go to www.absknifeexpo.com for more details.

Things are going great and I hope you continue to check in.  Thanks so much.
